首届大会于2018年11月在江苏省无锡市召开，大会主题为“绿色 高效 创新 发展”。主要活动包括主旨报告、主题报告、专题分会场交流、科学家-企业家峰会、内燃机产品展览展示、新闻发布会、技术参观等。
参加会议的政府及行业领导、国内外专家学者、知名企业家等嘉宾共380余名。其中：政府和行业领导13名；中外院士35名；行业专家和知名企业家156名；国外嘉宾150名。
